As a teacher, school administrator, and school board member, I dedicated more than two decades to preparing the next generation for success. That experience taught me that helping children starts with strengthening the families and communities they depend on. It’s the same commitment that guides my work in the California State Assembly.
As the son of immigrants and the first in my family to graduate from high school and college, I know what hard work and opportunity can achieve. My wife and I proudly raise our three children in Rancho Cucamonga.
During my first term, I’ve worked to lower costs for working families, strengthen public education, expand access to affordable health care, support first responders, protect our environment, and deliver solutions for the Inland Empire.
I’m fighting corporate monopolies that drive up costs, health insurers that put profits ahead of patients, investor-owned utilities that burden families with higher rates, billionaires who don’t want to pay their fair share, and polluters who profit while threatening our air, water, and public health. I’m also standing up to a federal administration seeking to take away our fundamental rights.
