California School Employees Association represents 254,000 members statewide in public schools and community colleges
Rancho Cucamonga, CA – Etiwanda School Boardmember Robert Garcia’s campaign for California State Assembly has received the endorsement of the California School Employees Association (CSEA). CSEA was established in 1927 and has over 254,000 members in California’s public schools and community college systems.
“We are excited to endorse Robert Garcia for California State Assembly,” said CSEA Association President Adam Weinberger. “CSEA’s quarter million members, serving communities throughout California, are proud to stand with a candidate who has substantial experience working within the education system. We are confident he will bring an equitable and practical perspective that is needed to address the growing challenges in California’s vast public education system.”
CSEA is California’s leading member-run union for classified school employees statewide. CSEA members perform a wide range of essential work throughout the state, including instructional aides, peace officers, secretaries, groundskeepers, food service, transportation, and maintenance personnel as well as in other important classifications.
“I am incredibly honored to be endorsed by CSEA,” Garcia stated. “As an educator and administrator, I have worked closely with classified members locally and partnered to serve students and their families. I look forward to ensuring our schools are fully funded, providing resources, training, and support for our classified members.”
CSEA joins a growing and impressive coalition of supporters such as UA Local 398, Majority Leader Emeritus Eloise Gomez Reyes, San Bernardino County Supervisor Joe Baca Jr., more-in district local elected officials than other declared Democratic candidates, and party delegates.
